So stoked (I try to only use that word where appropriate) for this new album and video. Check out this preview with its all-star cast. Should be funny. Also, I noticed a lil nugget on the beastie boys website. Check out the reissues. If you are a b-boy fan, you will appreciate the reissues with b-sides included. Early birthday present for me?
I’ve been really digging this new Dr. Dre song. I guess the date is significant of his 36th birthday. A lot of reflection going on in this video. Dre has done a lot in his career. Can’t wait for his new album to come out.
Here’s a preview of two new Madvillain tracks, in the form of a short snippet from Stones Throw’s latest Peanut Butter Wolf-mixed podcast – HERE. Download the whole thing at stonesthrow.com
Finally got to see Austin’s THE ROLLER. According to their myspace page, their music sounds like “TROGLODYTES MATING WITH AMPLIFIERS.” I would have to add a little to this assessment that this militia of Troglodytes would have to be size of 3 ton giants mating with amplifiers post-annihilation of a major metropolitan area. Prob the strongest sound I’ve ever heard. Click on the photo below for an interview and live footage from a show.
It was great to see you The Ron… keep destroying faces and lets takes some shots out of dirty frying pans on 5250 Headbutt lane soon brutha.
I have been really impressed with Fallon’s music on the show. First the Roots as the show stage band, then having musical talent play with the Roots… whaaaaaat!? awesomeness will take hold every time.
Check out this Arcade Fire music video directed by Chris Milk and it’s amazing use of Google street view for the music video. The music video/music experience uses street view to take the video to your neighborhood you grew up in. Amazing work. Give it a try at http://thewildernessdowntown.com/
